Needle diseases of loblolly pine, caused by Lecanosticta acicola and other pathogens, pose a severe and unexpected threat to forests in the Southeast. A regional network of multiple scientists is addressing the issue from multiple angles in an effort to advance understanding of the disease and provide management recommendations rapidly.

Upon completion, participants will be able to understand some of the factors associated with the recent loblolly pine needle disease outbreaks.
Upon completion, participants will be able to list ongoing efforts aimed at developing a strategy to manage the recent loblolly pine needle disease outbreaks.
