Indigenous Community Engagement Manager

Jessica Douglas is the Indigenous Community Engagement Manager at Ecotrust and Siletz tribal member. She supports the Forestry and Ecosystem Services team on projects related to Indigenous agroforestry and tribal natural resource planning and engagement. Jessica has a deep interest in storytelling and partially serves on the Communications Team at Ecotrust where she uses her journalism background to elevate Indigenous voices and communities through mediums such as video, social media, and writing. Before Ecotrust, Jessica wrote for High Country News, as a staff writer on the Indigenous Affairs desk covering issues about environmental justice and Indigenous sovereignty.
Jessica is an enrolled member of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, a fire practitioner in training, and a budding basket weaver.
